Describe the usability problem first
UI/UX Design Services should begin with an observable user problem. Selecting the wrong service, failing to correct information and misunderstanding the next step may have different causes. Record the task, the moment of difficulty and the information available to the user. An existing workflow gives the team a starting point for deciding what to investigate. Agree which decision the first study needs to support before choosing new screen layouts.
The blocked user task
Separate appearance, wording and behavior. Readability cannot repair incorrect permission, and example screens are not user outcomes. Keep an untested suggestion as a hypothesis; attractive design or positive reactions cannot establish that the underlying business difficulty has been measured or resolved.
Appearance versus interaction
A journey map, research plan and prototype need distinct acceptance evidence. Separate production, participant preparation, sessions and analysis in the SEK quote. Evaluate omitted work in lower totals; real procurement conditions determine duration and revision scope instead of unlimited promises.
User obstacle
Separate the task blockage from visual preference.
Review owner
State the decision the first output supports.
Choose the research audience and language
Use UX Audit and Usability Checklist to define the participant profile and task for an application-flow study. Buyers in Sweden can differ in language, task knowledge and device experience. Plan permission to contact customers, recruitment and session preparation together. People should be able to perform the relevant task; consulting only product experts inside your own team may overlook difficulties that customers encounter when using the service for the first time.
Swedish or English sessions
Choose sessions through the actual task language. Record moderator and translation effects; interpreted guidance is not spontaneous comprehension. Turkish or Persian project meetings cannot replace Swedish research. Keep natural-language acceptance outstanding until competent review supplies evidence for the defined user task.
Access to actual users
The business defines recording, consent and retention requirements. A session is not permission to disclose every kind of information. Controlled tasks may avoid real account details. Do not assume local participant payments or recruitment costs; obtain actual conditions. Share dates and Europe/Stockholm time-zone context, without guaranteeing participant availability or staffing. Responsibility for handling research material remains separate from permission to conduct the task.

| Decision | Detail |
|---|---|
| Participant access | Define actual participants and task language. |
| Review owner | Assign consent, records and calendar ownership. |
| Acceptance boundary | Avoid national behavior generalisations. |
Prototype the mobile task separately
Mobile App UI/UX Design Process reconsiders action order on a small screen. Shrinking a desktop form may hide help or the next action and disrupt the decision. Order necessary information and controls together. State screen, keyboard and connectivity conditions in the test plan. Application development and device acceptance are not automatically included in design work; they require their own implementation scope and evidence.
Small-screen action order
Model long Swedish labels, error summaries and amount displays. Where SEK is needed, identify the value source and reading order without inventing prices. Users should understand the correction and retain useful entries while recovering. Specifying this behavior in design cannot prove it has been correctly implemented in working software or accepted under actual user conditions.
Error and recovery screens
Include empty, pending and failed states. Record assistance, skipped steps and recovery during testing. Assisted completion differs from independent use, and one positive reaction cannot establish satisfaction or conversion uplift. Preserve these limits when deciding which design revision to accept.
- Mobile task
Test action order in the mobile task.
- Review owner
Include failure and recovery screens.
- Acceptance boundary
Separate assisted completion from independent evidence.
Specify design-system states
UI/UX Design Services defines components through behavior as well as dimensions. Ready, loading, disabled and error buttons follow business rules. Include text length, order and narrow-screen behavior. A design-system file does not prove a consistent implemented product. The first delivery should make relevant states inspectable and expose decisions engineering still needs to resolve before the agreed workflow can operate reliably.
Components and text overflow
Swedish and English wording may need different space. If shortening changes meaning, reconsider the layout. Assign factual owners for headings, help and errors, and let a Swedish-speaking editor check the customer wording. Keep language versions aligned when content changes. This gives engineers clear text and overflow rules, while allowing the product team to correct an unclear expression before it reaches the interface.
Focus and validation behaviour
Keyboard focus, error announcement order and validation are decisions for engineering handover. A preferred palette cannot prove them correct. Agree the accessibility-review scope and qualified reviewer with the business, without inventing certification or legal compliance. Prototype and working-product checks differ. Keep design issues separate from implementation issues so acceptance shows precisely what was inspected and what remains unverified.

| Review owner | Hand over overflow and focus decisions. |

Accept usability through an observed task
UX Audit and Usability Testing needs a decision criterion before the team observes users. For a service-selection task, decide whether the participant should choose an option and correct entered information without assistance. Record the conditions and any help when comparing an existing flow with a proposal. Separate observed behavior from explanations that still need investigation. A clear decision question makes the sessions useful for choosing the next design change.
An agreed test criterion
What a participant says can differ from what they do. Liking a screen is not correct task completion. Connect hesitation, backtracking, incorrect selections and requests for help to the flow. State language, task and participant limits. Discuss priority through impact and recurrence without creating a ready-made numeric benchmark or a national behavior generalisation.
Findings that change the design
Record findings, recommendations and open questions together. Some issues need text; others require business rules or data-source changes. Mark retesting separately. Show whether analysis and correction rounds belong in the SEK proposal instead of promising unlimited revision. Include actual language-owner and technical-reviewer availability in the calendar so purchasing can assess the dependencies behind the proposed delivery.
Observation criterion
Agree the decision criterion before observation.
Review owner
Separate findings, recommendations and questions.
Hand decisions and open questions to engineers
Use Software Project Handover Checklist to organise the design decisions, files and components your engineering team receives. Include content sources and font or image licences alongside the shared files. Specify the implementation revision, who resolves open dependencies and who can edit the design. These details give the authorised buyer a practical handover record and help the team assign responsibility for subsequent changes rather than relying on a file link alone.
File and component ownership
Engineering notes need states, transitions, validation and failure behavior. Screen measurements do not determine records or API rules. Show which design decision is settled and which depends on the system owner. Identify the reference revision when implementation changes. If development is excluded from the first package, a file handover cannot produce a live-product result; construction and acceptance remain separate work.
Buildable state specifications
Bring findings, selected design decisions and implementable states into one handover list. Separate questions for the language editor, product owner and engineers. Include the purchaser’s documentation and evaluation requirements when discussing the proposal. Participant access, SEK budgeting, correction rounds and review dates together let your team see which decisions are ready and which need further work before implementation.
- Engineering handover
Record file, component and licence ownership.
- Review owner
Deliver buildable states and unresolved dependencies.
- Acceptance boundary
Keep development and publication acceptance separate.
Questions and answers
Why does the UI and UX distinction matter here?
Appearance, language and interaction can involve different work. A better-looking screen cannot by itself fix permission or record problems in the user task; isolate the difficulty first.
Should research sessions be Swedish or English?
Follow the participant’s actual task language. Record moderator, interface and translation effects; project communication language does not automatically determine the appropriate user-research language.
Is the number of test participants already defined?
No. Task, audience and decision needs must be understood first. Participant access, permission and recruitment are planned with a real owner rather than a universal fixed count.
Does a successful prototype validate the product?
It supplies design evidence for the observed task and conditions. Live systems, records, APIs and device behavior need separate implementation and acceptance checks before broader claims.
Is a design system an accessibility certificate?
No. A design system organises component states, but keyboard, focus and error behavior need inspection in the working product too. Include specialist review and applicable regulatory requirements as separate project tasks.
Which UX tasks should appear in a SEK proposal?
Separate research preparation, participant access, sessions, analysis, prototypes, corrections and engineering handover. The actual proposal should state included rounds and review dates, with additional work and licences compared separately.
