Decide whether the channel fits your business
Within an ecommerce growth plan, Trendyol can provide access to existing customer demand. Its payment, order and reporting infrastructure may reduce some requirements of running a separate store. Visibility, sales and brand trust are not automatic outcomes.
Assess the product category, replenishment reliability, competing offers, return reasons and working capital. Clothing, electronics and home products have different margin and service needs. National delivery can extend a local business’s reach, while increasing packing, support and cash-flow demands.
A marketplace and your own store can operate together. Plan contribution and inventory allocation by channel. Do not assume marketplace orders give you permission to redirect customers or add their details to your marketing database. Develop the brand experience within applicable platform terms.
Prepare the business and documents against current requirements
Store management preparation begins with eligibility. Trendyol’s official Türkiye requirements specify a business organisation, tax liability, saleable stock and operational capacity. The application guide also identifies active Revenue Administration records and the ability to issue invoices.
Select a sole proprietorship or company structure with an accountant according to ownership, liability, administration and growth needs. Do not rely on a promise of formation within hours. Verify tax exemptions, grants or incentives separately; a particular activity code alone does not establish eligibility.
| Area | What to prepare | Important distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Business and authority | Tax certificate and requested signature, registration or activity records. | The current process and business type determine the documents; one list does not fit everyone. |
| Records and communication | Applicable TCKN or VKN, MERSİS, KEP and accessible contact details. | Complete representative or ultimate-controller verification where requested. |
| Finance and invoicing | A business-matching bank account/IBAN and an appropriate invoicing arrangement. | Check e-invoice or e-archive obligations separately rather than assuming one invoice type for all sellers. |
| Product rights | Supplier invoices, traceability and category-specific brand or permission evidence. | Approval of an account does not authorise every product. |

Define a workable seller operation
Turn product information, channel costs and fulfilment flows into a practical store management plan.
Follow the application and readiness checkpoints
When establishing seller operations, use the official Trendyol entry point and select the relevant Türkiye marketplace application. Follow current instructions because screen labels can change. Registration, verification, contractual acceptance and product approval are separate checkpoints.
1. Prepare the application
Provide accurate representative, business, tax or identity, category and contact information. Do not assume the initial main-category selection permanently excludes other categories.
2. Complete verification
Follow the official phone, email and applicable KEP, business and representative checks. Keep requested files legible and current, and monitor missing-information notices.
3. Match finance and addresses
Check the IBAN holder against the trading name. Distinguish invoicing, dispatch and return addresses, and assign finance and customer-service responsibilities.
4. Review the conditions
Read the offered agreement, deductions, payout terms and carrier options. The authorised business representative should complete any required contractual acceptance.
5. Start with ready products
Track application status and product validation. Missing information, categories or additional checks can affect timing; approval within one to three business days is not guaranteed.
Calculate more than the commission
Channel profitability planning needs more than selling price minus product cost and commission. Category terms, shipping, platform service fees, packaging, ads, promotional contributions, returns and applicable tax deductions can affect cash flow. Confirm current charges in the account and agreement.
Trendyol’s official service-fee guidance describes different treatments by shipment type and qualifying conditions. A commission-only calculation is therefore incomplete. Use your account’s category conditions and deduction documents instead of assuming a universal rate or payout date.
Distinguish the day an order is placed from the day its proceeds become available. Allow for supplier payments, inventory holding, cancellations, returns and adjustments. Before a promotion, model normal pricing, discounted pricing and a higher-return scenario. A low-margin first sale is not automatically profitable over the customer’s lifetime.

Validate product data and the upload method
An ecommerce product-data check connects titles, categories, barcodes, brands, models and variants such as colour and size. Use accurate features customers understand. Adding every keyword or an unrelated brand is not an optimisation method. Images should accurately show the product and relevant details.
Consider individual panel entries for a small catalogue, or current bulk templates and API/integrator options for greater scale. Obtain current image, background, mandatory-attribute and category requirements from the official information centre. Missing fields can cause validation or publication problems and poor selection experiences; they do not universally make every product unsellable.
Check one trial product’s variants, stock and price before expanding. The official API documentation requires checking the batch result after stock/price updates. Receiving a submission response is not proof that every item was updated successfully. Track integration failures by barcode and operation record.
Assign daily ownership of fulfilment and returns
An integration plan should reconcile physical stock with available-to-sell inventory. Define where order, cancellation and return changes originate and how other channels receive them. Reservations and failure alerts matter when the same product sells across multiple channels.
Preparation and dispatch
Define storage locations, check variants and use suitable boxes and protection. Follow the current shipment-label and carrier process in the seller panel.
Delivery promises
Set dispatch cutoffs and preparation times according to real capacity. Meet the conditions of same-day labels when offered; avoid promising same-day dispatch for every order.
Questions and returns
Answer sizing, compatibility and delivery questions accurately. Track return reasons, inspection and actions promptly. Do not automatically approve or reject every return without assessment.
Campaign capacity
Before busy events such as Efsane Günler, plan stock, cartons, carrier capacity and staffing. Update availability when products run out and resolve recurring supply failures.
Use bounded tests for first sales and growth
A performance marketing approach separates the contribution of advertising, promotions and ordinary sales. Trendyol’s official product-ad guide describes budget and product selection for sponsored visibility. It does not guarantee exposure or ranking. Check the options and charging model available to your account.
The Buybox selects the prominent offer among sellers of the same product. Do not assume the lowest price always wins or a particular seller score guarantees a rank. Review current offer, stock, performance and customer-experience information while maintaining a minimum viable margin.
Multi-buy offers, a hypothetical 50% reduction on a second item or 10% basket discount can be tested where the account offers them, after calculating conditions and cost. The lowest market price or break-even trading is not a mandatory first-sale strategy. Present products to followers with real needs; avoid artificial orders, fabricated family reviews or gifts conditional on favourable feedback.
A thoughtful note or gift is a customer-experience idea within platform rules, rather than a mechanism for collecting stars. Monitor product views, orders, advertising spend, net contribution, delays, cancellations and return reasons. Reconcile sales, cancellation and return reports with payment documents before scaling.
BEFORE YOU DECIDE
Frequently asked questions
Can I open a standard Türkiye store without a business?
Official requirements call for a business organisation and tax liability, with active records and the ability to issue invoices. A general tax exception should not be assumed to establish platform eligibility.
Which documents are required?
The current process and business type determine tax, authority, registration, KEP, bank and representative information. Prepare the requested list; product rights or category checks may require additional evidence.
How long does approval take?
Timing depends on information, verification and review needs. One to three business days is not a guaranteed commitment. Track the application and official notices.
Do I need my own website?
A marketplace application and an independent store are separate projects. Your site can support an independent channel strategy, but does not replace platform approval.
Is commission the only selling cost?
No. Consider account-specific shipping, service, packaging, advertising, return and tax-related items. Payout terms and deduction documents belong in the cash-flow plan.
How can I improve first sales?
Start with accurate product data, available stock, realistic delivery and clear pricing. Measure limited advertising and offer tests by contribution. Lowest pricing, rewarded reviews and artificial orders are not growth guarantees.
Can I use both the panel and an integration?
Individual or bulk entries and API/integrator options can fit different needs. Define data ownership and update responsibility, then check batch outcomes and errors separately.
