Built around a proper desk, a wired connection, and walls soft enough to take a call without a headset.
The Altair was designed after we watched too many guests work from the end of a bed. The desk runs seventy-five centimetres high and a metre and a half wide, with power and ethernet at hand height and a task lamp that throws light across the surface rather than into your eyes. An upholstered headboard, full curtains, and a wool rug take the reflection out of the room, so a video call sounds like a room and not a corridor.

Beyond the desk it is a quiet, unfussy place to sleep: blackout to the frame, a medium-firm mattress, and a bathroom with good water pressure and somewhere to put a washbag. Housekeeping works around your calendar rather than the other way round. Tell the desk the night before and the room is done while you are out. It is the room our returning business guests ask for by name.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in opens at 3:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. Early arrival and late departure can usually be arranged. Mention it when you book and we will hold the room wherever availability allows.
Is breakfast included with this room?
Breakfast is included with every suite and can be added to any room at the time of booking. It is the full menu rather than a continental subset, served for every guest on the reservation.
Can you arrange parking and airport transfers?
Yes. On-site parking and private airport transfers can be arranged at booking or any time before arrival. Give us the flight number rather than the landing time and we will track it, so a delay adjusts the pickup automatically.
Is Wi-Fi available throughout the hotel?
Every room and public area runs on a symmetric business line with a separate guest network, and each room also has a wired ethernet point for anyone who would rather not trust wireless before a presentation.
Are pets allowed?
Assistance dogs are welcome everywhere in the building, including the restaurant. Other pets can be accommodated in selected ground-floor rooms by prior arrangement. Please ask before you book rather than on arrival.
